Cenotes

Description

The same meteorite that destroyed the dinosaurs brought out the cenotes.

Like a "sky shot," the meteorite's shockwave formed the ring of cenotes, eyes of water, mostly in the middle of the jungle. This planetary tragedy created these spaces of great beauty that human beings can enjoy, including the cenote Yaxbacaltun, whose name means "green cob on stone".

The cenote is 27 meters deep, the more adventurous will be able to make a rappelling descent, and those who prefer a less extreme experience, will be able to descend from the metal ladder and then enjoy swimming or swinging from a rope.

After the fun, you will visit the San Antonio cenote, there you will know the culinary delights that characterize Yucatan, among them the internationally famous poc-chuc, papadzules, longaniza, panuchos, salbutes and dessert, all in an atmosphere of the traditional Maya style with and excellent service.
